Happy Monday All! I really hope you had a fantastic weekend!
Before I get into my list and start belting out Julie Andrews’ “My Favorite Things”, I thought I’d remind you that I’m still seeking guest posts. I would love to have YOU visit here to share a project, or to share a story. This baby is coming very soon and it would be great to have a few fabulous bloggers help out this baby mama. If this piques your interest at all, you can read more about what is needed from you in my SOS – Calling All Bloggers post. I hope to hear from you!
Last Friday, I read the Favorite Things post at Little Birdie Secrets. She got together with her friends and had a “favorite things” gift exchange. What a super cute idea! She put a bag together that contained Washi Tape, ribbon wrapped around a clothespin, a tag and initial stickers to share with her friends, so they could make their own cute, custom tags for their friends.

So I got to thinking about what some of my favorite things might be that I’d want to share with my friends. I started scanning my house in my head and quickly realized that my “favorite things” bag wouldn’t be particularly crafty and the items would have to go in a much bigger bag than she handed out.
And although this post isn’t vintage, DIY, home decor or craft related, I’m still sharing it with you because I’m going to host a “My Favorite Things” link party next Monday, June 11th. I’d love for you to come back next Monday and link up your favorite things. If I can’t get together with all of you face-to-face to discover what would be in your bag, maybe we can at least learn a thing or two from each other’s posts. What do you say?
So without further adieu, the first item on my completely random list of FAVORITE THINGS is . . .
Drum roll please . . .
I am constantly washing my hands and they dry out quickly. They would look and feel like sandpaper if it weren’t for this here magic potion. I use it sparingly and in between other lotion applications to make it last because it is expensive, yes, but it’s worth every penny. Sometimes it’s very true that you get what you pay for!
I can’t tell you what it is, but I love the way I write when I write with this marker. It’s always been one of my favorite things!
Some of you may recall that I have an Esthetician license. Well, this is one of my personal beauty secrets. I love this stuff. I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on an exfoliant. I’ve used it for years and it will always be in my shower among the shampoo and conditioner. I use it twice a week (you shouldn’t exfoliate every day) after I’ve washed my face and that’s all you need to do too!
This one doesn’t need much explanation, now does it? Where would I be without my trusty glue gun?
I’m not one to paint my fingernails, but if I do it’s usually this color or a french manicure.
It adds a perfect hint of color without being in your face.
And to solidify the complete randomness of my list, I must include the
I can’t bare to think what our kitchen sink would look like if I didn’t have Mr. Clean.
What would I do without him?
If I could, I’d put Pinterest in the bag to give to you too! Pinterest has definitely become one of my absolute favorite things for finding inspiration. Pinterest delivers the goods every. single. time. I heart you Pinterest.
So what are some of YOUR favorite things? Please come back next Monday, June 11th for the “MY FAVORITE THINGS” link party. Your list can be as random as mine, or specific to cooking, crafting, painting, or whatever you LIKE. I cannot wait to see what you’d put in your bag!!
And because I just can’t resist, I’ll leave you with a little Julie Andrews to get you in the mood. Click here to watch her sing “My Favorite Things” and enjoy!
