Let’s take care of a little business this morning before we get started with the Transformation Tuesday project, shall we?
Unfortunately there will be no link party today. Sorry. Since the response to the link party has been slow, I’ve decided to do a monthly link party at this point instead and we’ll see how that goes. The next Transformation Tuesday link party will happen in September. Oooh, and I know by then all of your projects will include fantastic Fall colors. Yes, that’s right, Fall is just around the corner. Where does the time go? But please be sure to check out Embracing Change’s vintage suitcase redo from the link party last week. I never would have thought to do that to a suitcase. Stacey, I’d love to see the purply goodness inside of the suitcase. Let me know if you post the picture! You did an amazing job!
B & B’s Nest was featured again! The Federal style bow front dresser redo was featured yesterday on Under the Table and Dreaming. This is incredible. I definitely love, love, love furniture rehabs. I love taking a no-longer-cherished piece of furniture and turning it into a wow-I-had-no-idea-it-could-look-like-that piece of furniture. It’s my thing.
Since some of my projects have recently been receiving attention and I’m hoping this trend continues, there’s a new “Featured” area now on the home page of B & B’s Nest, so please go and check it out.
And I swore up and down for months that I would avoid Pinterest like the plague. Well. I caved. Darnit. In fact, I lost an hour and a half of my life yesterday to Pinterest. It’s a love-hate relationship. You can now follow B & B’s Nest on Pinterest, and there’s even a new fancy button on the Home page, so please go and check that out, too (thank you, Erika The Fairy Blogmother, for making my little ‘ole blog so fancy!). If you need an invite to Pinterest, I’d be happy to invite you, but I waive any liability for you losing yourself in it. If your family comes looking for you because they haven’t seen you in hours and you look like a deer in headlights staring at pictures on Pinterest when they find you (and it will happen), it’s not my fault. (*smile*)
Phew. Okay. Now onto a transformation . . .
I’ve had these wood candle holders for a couple of years, but they no longer fit my taste or style and they’ve been collecting dust in a cabinet for a while now.
They now have a home on our Louis Blue dresser (a previous Transformation Tuesday project) in the living room. I’m not sure if they’ll stay there. They may make their way into a bathroom, or our bedroom perhaps, but for now they’re keeping the dresser company.
I have a line of projects waiting in the wings, so there will be a lot of great transformations in the coming weeks. Tomorrow I’ll share my thoughts with you on the flea market from this past weekend. Have an awesome day and be sure to “Like” B & B’s Nest on Facebook!
