Vendor Feature Week – TREMENDOUSLY THRIFTY

I had no idea a creative blogger was residing so close to me!  But when I went to a home nearby to pick up two chairs I found on Craigslist, I found Stacy too!

Tremendously Thrifty is a blog Stacy created as an outlet to share all of her thrifty ideas!  She comes up with some incredibly resourceful decorating ideas on the cheap.  Please pay her a visit.  You won’t regret it!

Come on out on Saturday, May 4th from 9 am – 4 pm to meet Stacy in person and see what she’s put together for you.  It’s bound to be full of vintage eye candy and one-of-a-kind treasures!

1. Tell us a little about yourself and your business.  Tremendously Thrifty features vintage furniture, home decor, dinnerware, and bedding along with some re-purposed vintage items and one of a kind art.
2. Can you explain the inspiration behind your business?  I was raised by parents who had a passion for DIY and re-purposing items in a stylish way. My childhood home was always filled with beautiful things that had a story; creating that same feeling in my own home drives my passion; which really has become a business on accident.

3. When did you start collecting vintage?  I’ve appreciated vintage items and have been an artist all my life, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I really had the time to collect and transform items; which allowed for my love of both art and vintage items to merge together.

4. What is your favorite find or favorite piece that you’ve transformed?
My favorite find was a gorgeous antique wide grain oak dresser I found on Craig’s List.  After a rich espresso stain on the body and crisp white drawers it’s become a piece that really reflects my personal style.

I love how paint and stain can completely transform a furniture piece.

5. What item are you most enthused about that you’re bringing with you to the sale?
I love how dinnerware can turn an everyday meal into something special. My little girls love to set the table, and even if we’re just having grilled cheese sandwiches, we use vintage stoneware, nice water goblets, and cloth napkins. It makes sitting down together as a family something special. I’m really looking forward to bringing some of my favorite vintage dinnerware pieces along with some really chic furniture pieces.

Thank you for reading!

XOXO
