Edge of Summer

I absolutely love this time of year.  We’re just on the edge of summer.  We haven’t gone over the hill yet.  You can still leave your windows open most days, there’s a thunderstorm brewing every now and then, the dead heat of the summer hasn’t yet arrived, everyone’s buzzing around in a flurry of fun summer activities and, best of all, Mother Earth is coming to life.  So I thought I’d share a bit of what Mother Nature has brought to our yard and show you some of the beautiful blooms from around our nest . . .

The daisies in our front yard are beginning to bloom
Next to our daisies, the coreopsis is soaking up the sun
Our hosta garden is full of life
Even our potted impatiens have already spread like wildfire so far this year
And our lavender . . . oh how I absolutely love our lavender
Our tomato plants are beginning to sprout
Our hydrangea actually came back this year!  We planted them last year in front of our shed and everything we’ve planted there before them has never returned.  But the hydrangea came back.  They came back!  AND they look beautiful!
Our herbs are hearty & productive
Even the adorable little plants in our miniature garden are thriving

It’s a beautiful time of year!  Happy Summer to you and yours!

A little reminder: tomorrow is the return of The Ironstone Nest Transformation Tuesday link party!  Come back tomorrow and link up your incredible projects.  I can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to!

Thank you for reading!

XOXO
