I’m writing this blog Sunday night at about 10:30 p.m. and I am exhausted. I’ve been working non-stop to get ready for the sale this coming weekend, I’m covered in paint and I have glitter in my hair. I promise to share some “before” and “afters” with you this week so you can see what I’ve been up to, but all you’ll find in this post is text.
I wanted to fill you in on some fun news. As you may recall in my For a Good Cause post, I began a relationship with our local domestic abuse shelter in our county. They were so pleased with everything I gave them that they’ve asked if I’d be willing to help rehabilitate some of their furniture over the winter months. They have dressers, tables and chairs that need repair, maybe some new knobs, or a new paint job and they asked if I’d be willing to help them. I immediately responded with an emphatic YES! I’m delighted that they asked and I’m absolutely willing to help them out. It’s always an honor when you can utilize your talents for a good cause! Oh, and they also asked if I knew anyone that would have children’s costumes they’d be willing to donate for a costume party they’d like to have for the children who are, unfortunately, temporarily housed there. I contacted our church and collected a few old costumes (in good shape) to be delivered to the shelter. If any of you lovely readers have any costumes for children ages 3 – 11 that you’d be willing to donate and send to me, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can make arrangements from there.
Also, I’m going to be decorating a Christmas tree for a local photographer in her studio for the holiday season. I’m super pumped about this. I’m going to decorate it in a vintage theme for her to use in photo shoots. She’s even going to have a “Photos with Santa” session featuring my decorated tree! Can’t you just picture it? Ha ha. Get it? Picture it! She’s a photographer. Geez, sometimes I wonder why you guys listen to me? (*smile*).
And last, but certainly not least, my cousin, Carrie, thought she’d feature me on her blog in her series Soul-Full Sundays. Please take a minute to check it out. Carrie is one of the sweetest souls I know. Talk about pursuing your passion! Inside the Bungalow located in Mesa, Arizona is her dream turned reality. Carrie was into Yoga long before it was cool to be into Yoga, but she pursued her passion relentlessly. She’s a true inspiration to everyone that is lucky enough to know her! Carrie sent me a questionnaire and I did my best to answer. If you decide to read it, you may just get to know me a little better.
Tomorrow is an exciting Transformation Tuesday with a lovely tutorial, as always! I’m looking forward to sharing it with you.
I hope had a lovely weekend. Happy Monday All!
