An Accidental Vignette and A Great Fall Find!

Some of the greatest moments in life are the ones you don’t plan.  Of course, I’m talking about major life moments, but this one is of the more superficial kind.

I had a bunch of white pumpkins and pine cones and I just kind of threw them on our Trash Pick of the Century until I had time to properly display them somewhere.

I also have this fabulous real myrtle double topiary that I didn’t have the perfect spot for yet.

And some white baby eggplant that I picked up from the grocery store.

After a day or two, when I finally decided to do something with all of that, I took a step back and delightfully decided it all looked just fine where it was:

Then, while garage sale-ing one morning, I was driving back home and came across an antique mall along the road.  My car pulled into the parking lot, so of course, I had to go in.  I was glad my car pulled in because I found some great stuff there!  One of the items I scored was an antique flash card that couldn’t have been more perfect . . . so I added it to the accidental vignette:

I also found its lovely mate “Harvest Thyme” and simply set it inside the stick wreath I originally had on our front door.  I ended up putting the wreath in our entryway for a little, simple Fall display:

Some of the best creations are unplanned ones!
