Junk Bonanza!

Calling all readers!  Are any of you heading to Junk Bonanza in a couple of weeks?  It’s just 2 weeks away.  Eeeeeeeee.  If you are, let me know.  I’ll be there and I’d love to organize a dinner or a small get together the night of the 14th.  Yes, I’m only going for the first day of the sale.  I’ve got my Early Bird Ticket ready and waiting.  I’m really, really excited.

My friend, Jan, from Gracie’s Cottage will be a vendor there.  I’ll have my flea bag that I purchased from her with me at the Bonanza, waiting to be filled with all sorts of vintage, junky goodies!

Some of the items on my list to find are a small antique wooden stool similar to this one:

There was one in the bathroom when I stayed at the Inn on Maple in Door County.  It was the perfect little, antique, round stool and I wanted to take it home with me.  Maybe I should have asked Louise?  I’d like to put one like hers in our bathroom where our scale is now, to the left of the sink.  It’d be another great place to rest something, like a towel, or clothes, or the perfect place to set out a guest welcome basket.  A basket full of guest must-haves like this one:

In fact, an old fishing basket like that would be nice to set on top of the stool, but I have a few old locker baskets that would look inviting filled with guest goodies!

I’d also really like to find some chunky, vintage restaurant coffee mugs:

But chunkier than that one and more square.  I don’t know why.  I just like them.
I’d also like some french clay pots to put in a new spot (soon to come) in our kitchen.

Other than that, we’ll see what I find.  It’s the thrill of the hunt and the wonder of discovering that one precious little gem.

I can’t wait to get there.  I’ll be amongst the Early Birds waiting with excitement to get in!  Hope to see you there!

  1. So jealous I can’t go! Hope you have a great time finding everything on your list.
