A Picture a Day for Seven Days – Day #4

I’m taking a little detour today from showing you my favorite spots around our nest to bring you something exciting.  Well, at least I’m excited!!

Oh, Craigslist how I love you!!  While perusing the magical, wonderful land of Craigslist this morning at 6 am before everyone in our nest woke up, I came across “FREE Cabinet”.  Hmm?  Curious.  So I took the bait and clicked on it.  And look what I found:

Oh I know she may be an ugly duckling now, but you just wait.  I can see beyond her brown color, dust, cobwebs, and imperfections.  I’m going to turn her into a beautiful window seat for our play room, or maybe a bench seat in our dining room.  Just imagine her painted white, or maybe turquoise, or maybe even yellow, filled with baskets in her four shelves, new drawer pulls, covered with a comfy, colorful cushion on top of her lined with pretty pillows.  At least that was my vision the moment I laid eyes on her.  So I went to my patient husband when he woke up and asked if we could adopt her.  It’s raining here today and I cringed at the thought of this Cinderella sitting out in the rain on a curb all by herself.  He obliged and went and rescued her at 7 am this morning (what a guy!).  She’s now sitting in our dry garage awaiting her beauty makeover.  I can’t wait!  Stay tuned for blogs about her transformation in the coming weeks . . .
And don’t forget to visit these other wonderful blogs to see their version of “A Picture a Day for Seven Days”:

  1. Hi, friend! Newest follower :) You’ve got so much creativity going on in your blog so can
you please share them with us at the Creative Bloggers’ Party & Hop?

This is a combination of linky party (where we can show off our creations) and of blog hop (where we can follow as many excellent bloggers as we like), hence the name Creative Bloggers’ Party & Hop. It’s a great way to meet awesome creative bloggers like you and increase your followers in the process.

All you have to do is 1) link up whatever creative post you’d like to share – can be a DIY project, decor, photography, crafts, recipes, poem, thrift finds, tips, or that informative syndicated post that can make us laugh, or cry – in short, whatever you’re proud of! 2) Then follow as many blogs as your heart desires, preferably starting first with the one before you and after you, and leave a comment to them that you’re doing so.

You’re not required to include the party button but if you’re so inclined to display it in your blog or your post, you’re very much welcome to
    do so :)

    See you at http://www.homemakeronadime.com/2011/04/creative-bloggers-party-hop-042411.html

  2. Score! I can totally see that as a bench seat full of baskets! Can’t wait to see how it turns out.

  3. I’m so glad you see it, too, Deanna! I definitely need to get on top of this project. Thanks so much for following!! XOXO
